nandor weisz

Nandor Weisz is a young composer and member of the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra. Born in 1978 in Budapest, his formal training started in 1992 when he joined the Bartok Bela Conservatoire Budapest to study percussions.  He graduated in 2000 from the reputable Academy of Music in Munchen where he studied under Professors Peter Sadlo and Edgar Guggeis.

His authentic interpretation of Afroganic’s Nadeya earned him the respect of all the judges.

"I wanted to fuse indigenous African instruments (like Marimba, Kalimba, Conga etc.) with electronic sounds."

Coming in at a very close fourth place, Nandor's remix is a worthy recipient of an honorable mention. Three of the eleven judges choose it as their top rated entry, including world-renowned musicologist and radio personality Tom Schnabel.

“Nice use of Kalimba with decent keys, more organic sounding, nice balance of musical elements, also nice vibes.  This is the best of all the remixes of both songs,” Schnabel said.

Mentor Records salutes Nandor Weisz and proudly presents his remix of Afroganic’s Nadeya:
